The Wabasso Rabbits's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Springfield 90-57. Wabasso has struggled against Springfield recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Brayden Sturm was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals for Springfield. Sturm also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Lucas Milbrath, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Wabasso bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabasso will take on Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Wabasso likes a good challenge. As for Springfield, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Sleepy Eye at 6:00 p.m. Sleepy Eye will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
