This season hasn't been kind to the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-43 walloping at the hands of Bancroft-Rosalie on Saturday. Clarkson/Leigh was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-17.
Despite the loss, Clarkson/Leigh saw an underclassman step up: Kyle McMullin scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Conner Jurgensen, who scored eight points.
Clarkson/Leigh dropped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Clarkson/Leigh will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pierce at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they will face off against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
