 Meanwhile, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged the Golden Bears out  3-1.
  Katie Rhodes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Lilly Morse was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Emily Martin was another key contributor,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run.
 Clarence has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 14 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record  this season. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
