After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orland, The Corning Cardinals were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to Paradise for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-12 win at home. With Corning ahead 35-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Corning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Geovanni Gonzalez, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Quinton Davis, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Corning's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Paradise, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
Corning does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Paradise also has no future games currently scheduled.
