Kelsey Bentley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Perry County Central made easy work of Johnson Central on Monday and carried off a 17-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Commodores, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Shy Couch, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Dixon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Letcher County Central's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Perry County Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
