It's playoff time, and Opp had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Straughn Tigers on Monday as they made off with a 12-1 win. Considering the Bobcats have won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Crislyn Birge was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 contests. Rylie Kate Thrash was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Opp kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Opp is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Straughn, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Opp beat the Tigers by a score of 8-0 later that day.
