Last Saturday, Lowell strolled past South Bend St. Joseph with points to spare, taking the game 37-21.
Elysia Laub was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Kirstin Summers was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Merrillville gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Portage 67-37 at home. Winning may never get old, but Merrillville sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lowell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9. As for Merrillville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
