There's no place like home for Dixon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the White Oak Vikings with a sharp 7-1 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Kailei Dawsey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Dixon's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Keeling, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another was Kaylie Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Dixon's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for White Oak, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixon will host West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for White Oak, they will take on Northside - Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
