Spencer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Autumn Davis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Alexa Weber was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Spencer's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Newman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Spencer will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Indians at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st. Greenwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Rockets in Wisconsin (the Indians are ranked 150th, while the Rockets are ranked 366th). As for Newman, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Redmen at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st.
