The Carver Montgomery Wolverines were the  45-41 winner over the Lanier Poets when they last played one another  back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Carver Montgomery fell just short of Lanier by a score of  54-52.
 Carver Montgomery's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Conor McPherson, who  scored 19 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals. McPherson is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last six games he's  played.  Zander Frazier was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with five  assists and four  blocks.
 Carver Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Lanier,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 16-13.
 Carver Montgomery didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match, a  67-61  victory vs. Murphy on the 10th. Lanier has also already played their next contest, a  57-56  victory against Theodore on the 10th.
