The Center Roughriders will be playing at home against the Kilgore Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Center's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 16 matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Center gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Henderson for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-46 win on the road. With Center ahead 43-23 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Carson Bush was a one-man wrecking crew for Center as he scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bush has scored all season. Emonte Cross was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Kilgore had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it three last Friday. They blew past Henderson 63-36 on the road. That looming 63-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Kilgore yet this season.
Center's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Kilgore, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Center didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 56-50 win. Does Center have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
