The Monrovia Bulldogs's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Indiana School for the Deaf with a sharp 68-44 victory. With Monrovia ahead 33-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Monrovia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mary Cox, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Trinity Inglert was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Despite the loss, Indiana School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from Sophia Wascher, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Wascher's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Monrovia now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Monrovia and Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Indiana School for the Deaf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethesda Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
