Universal Learning Academy lost against the Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Universal Learning Academy fell 46-33 to Chavez Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Universal Learning Academy in their matchups with Chavez Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Universal Learning Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sara Mansour, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and five steals. Mansour is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Houda Cherkaoui, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Universal Learning Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Chavez Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Merritt Academy the next time they take the court. Universal Learning Academy will head out to face Merritt Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chavez Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
