Cardinal Mooney never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the North Port Bobcats as the Cardinal Mooney Cougars made off with an 11-0 victory. The Cougars have beaten the Bobcats the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bobcats has come to flipping the script.

Colton Hyde looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned runs in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cardinal Mooney got a massive performance out of Wyatt Hossenlopp, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Hossenlopp posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Geaglone, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Cardinal Mooney always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Port only posted an OBP of .095.

Cardinal Mooney's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Port, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
