Last Friday, Sutherland were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 28-34 to Hemingford. Sutherland's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Everything went Perkins County's way against Sutherland the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 44-18 win.
