Pepperell is 6-1 against Dade County since October of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pepperell Dragons will be playing at home against the Dade County Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Pepperell is ranked 280th, while Dade County is ranked 292nd).
After a string of four wins, Pepperell's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 35-14 walloping at the hands of Trion. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Pepperell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyler Rogers, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown, and Sam Ross who rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Dade County put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They beat Chattooga by the very same score they won with last week: 42-7. With Dade County ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Trion's victory bumped their season record to 8-0 while Pepperell's loss dropped theirs to 4-4.
Pepperell beat Dade County 20-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Pepperell repeat their success, or does Dade County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
