The Frontier Cougars posted their biggest victory since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bridgeport 63-16 on the road. Given Frontier's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Bridgeport is ranked 781st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Frontier to victory were Grace Knowlton and Morgan Haught. Knowlton scored 20 points along with seven assists and two steals, while Haught scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Haught has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Dye, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Frontier and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Bridgeport, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Frontier will head out on the road to square off against Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Federal Hocking will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Bridgeport, they will play host again and welcome Barnesville, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
