Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Camden County Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They lost to the Raiders on the road by a decisive 41-25 margin on Friday. Camden County's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaden Dailey, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Camden County's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Cooper Thornhill and his two sacks.
Walton was led to victory by Hunter Teal and Jeremy Hecklinski. Teal picked up 163 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Hecklinski threw for 321 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt. Hecklinski is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Wyatt Sonderman did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 57 receiving yards.
Camden County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Walton, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record.
Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Walton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Milton at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. One thing working in Milton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
