Basketball Game Preview: Jesup J-Hawks vs. Union Knights

Jesup has gone 8-2 against Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Jesup J-Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Union Knights at 7:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Jesup came up short against Sumner-Fredericksburg and fell 74-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the J-Hawks still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Union had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by the Huskies to the tune of 85-46. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Union pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Jesup, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Jesup didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Union when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. Will Jesup repeat their success, or does Union have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
