The Tradition Prep Pirates will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Westwood Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Tradition Prep came up short against Sebastian River and fell 62-50. Tradition Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Tradition Prep had strong showings from Jayden Harris, who scored 18 points, and Aydan Fields, who scored 14 points. Harris scored a full 36% of Tradition Prep's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joksan Pena, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Westwood had to settle for a 40-38 loss against Okeechobee on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Westwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Okeechobee is ranked 117th).
Somerset Academy - Canyons' win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Tradition Prep's loss dropped theirs to 1-3.
