Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bear Grass Charter). They put the hurt on the Ocracoke Dolphins with a sharp 24-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Bears have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hayden Willoughby was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Rogerson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Bear Grass Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .778. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was the eighth in a row for Bear Grass Charter, bringing their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Ocracoke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Bear Grass Charter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Wilson Prep on the 2nd. As for Ocracoke, they will head out to challenge the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
