Fort Osage and Oak Park are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Fort Osage Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oak Park Northmen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Fort Osage came up short against Kearney and fell 56-44. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fort Osage in their matchups with Kearney: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Oak Park's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Smithville. While losing is never fun, Oak Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Smithville is ranked 26th).
Fort Osage's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Oak Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Everything went Fort Osage's way against Oak Park in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Fort Osage made off with a 58-36 win. Will Fort Osage repeat their success, or does Oak Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
