Bloom-Carroll is 8-2 against Liberty Union since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Liberty Union Lions at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Bloom-Carroll is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty Union in Ohio (Bloom-Carroll is ranked 115th, while Liberty Union is ranked 403rd).
Last Saturday, Bloom-Carroll was able to grind out a solid win over Fairfield Union, taking the game 45-37.
It was another big night for Emily Bratton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Tessa Brooks, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Liberty Union had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past Hamilton Township with a 43-39 victory.
Liberty Union can attribute much of their success to Morgan Love, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Love also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Angelo, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Bloom-Carroll's record now sits at 10-4. As for Liberty Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Bloom-Carroll hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.1 points per game. It's a different story for Liberty Union, though, as they've been averaging only 35.3 points per game. The only thing between Bloom-Carroll and another offensive beatdown is Liberty Union. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Bloom-Carroll against Liberty Union when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloom-Carroll since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
