They fell just short of the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Patriots have suffered since May 18, 2024.
Isaiah Martinez and Cole Cheatham put in work while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Martinez tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Cheatham struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Martinez has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Martinez went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Cheatham went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.
