Patel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Patel was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lili Smith, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Gabby Oborne, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-5.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 12  runs the game before, Wilson was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Tuesday. They fell victim to a  tough 12-1 loss at the hands of Monroeville.
 Russell's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
