The Concord Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the Sand Creek Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Concord has seven straight wins, Sand Creek has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Concord strolled past Athens with points to spare, taking the game 49-33.
Concord found their leader in underclassman Bradie Lehman, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Lehman has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cieara Barrett, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Sand Creek came up short against Britton Deerfield on Thursday and fell 31-23.
Concord pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
Concord came up short against Sand Creek in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, falling 50-42. Can Concord avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
