Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Loudon's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Loudon had won two straight home games and Zaylan Giles did her part to make it three on Friday. The Loudon Redskins managed a 46-42 victory over the Lenoir City Panthers thanks in part to Giles, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 19 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Loudon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Lenoir City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

When Loudon and Lenoir City next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Loudon will square off against Heritage and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lenoir City will try to stop South-Doyle's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
