Cliffside Park lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jerelz Ortiz, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Ortiz is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Calabrese, who scored 13 points.
Dumont's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Cliffside Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dumont will face off against Tenafly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tenafly and Dumont are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Cliffside Park, they will head out on the road to square off against Ramsey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ramsey presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cliffside Park in New Jersey (Ramsey is ranked 21st, while Cliffside Park is ranked 143rd).
