Aransas Pass' 26-12 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 49-34 to Incarnate Word Academy. That's two games in a row now that Aransas Pass has lost by exactly 15 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Gregory-Portland's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The game between Gregory-Portland and Floresville wasn't particularly close, with Gregory-Portland falling 51-37.
Aransas Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Gregory-Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
