It was a good run, but the Westfield Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 61-47 fall against James Madison. Westfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Westfield's loss came despite strong showings from Jemon Price and William Robinson. Price scored 16 points, while Robinson scored 16 points. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mathias Lee, who scored six points.
Westfield's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for James Madison, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westfield will take on the Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in South Lakes' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. As for James Madison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
