Sherburne-Earlville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Clinton Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sherburne-Earlville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 445th, while Clinton is ranked 171st).
Even though Sherburne-Earlville has not done well against Cooperstown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Sherburne-Earlville managed a 54-50 win over Cooperstown.
Meanwhile, Clinton's three-game losing streak came to an end last Sunday. They came out on top against Waterville by a score of 64-52.
Sherburne-Earlville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Sherburne-Earlville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Clinton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sherburne-Earlville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
