The Caldwell Bluejays lost against the Conway Springs Cardinals back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Caldwell fell 42-30 to Conway Springs. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Caldwell has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Caldwell lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Risley. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Risley's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Caldwell now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Conway Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell will be home for the holidays to greet Central Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Caldwell is ranked 116th). As for Conway Springs, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Belle Plaine at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
