Hoonah's game on Friday was all tied up 10-10 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to the Klawock Chieftains. The Braves' defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Klawock was led to victory by Kaiya Marvin and Lea Armour. Marvin dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Armour posted eight points and five steals. Armour has become a key player for Klawock: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 10-12 otherwise.

Hoonah's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Klawock, they pushed their record up to 14-13 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hoonah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 31-19 victory against Skagway on the 1st. Klawock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
