The Florence Huskies entered their tilt with the Monte Vista Pirates with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Florence came out on top against Monte Vista by a score of 56-46 on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Florence, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gage Goodall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ian Dudley was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Florence pushed their record up to 4-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Monte Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Florence will stay at home for another game and welcome Aspen at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully Aspen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Saturday. As for Monte Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against Bayfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bayfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
