The Sanderson Spartans waltzed into Tuesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-46 victory over Cary. That's another feather in the cap for Sanderson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Nathan Fife was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 25 points along with 6 assists. Gordie Balas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 9 rebounds.
Sanderson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cary, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Sanderson will square off against Wakefield at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Wakefield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday. As for Cary, they will head out on the road to face off against Athens Drive at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
