Moxon Montieth posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Montieth's strong effort led Silverdale Academy over Notre Dame and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
