The Chapin Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Burges Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chapin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Chapin took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Andress as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Huskies needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Jesus Torres made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Torres was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025.

Meanwhile, Burges suffered their closest loss since February 19th on Tuesday. They fell just short of El Paso by a score of 7-5. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Chapin pushed their record up to 12-9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Burges, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-2.
Chapin beat Burges 11-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
