Challenger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. Carolina Day found their leader in freshman Layla Hunter, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hunter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keana Smith, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Challenger's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Carolina Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Challenger does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carolina Day has also already played their next contest, a 52-43 win against Oakbrook Prep on the 30th.
