On Monday, the Shadow Ridge Mustangs faced the Faith Lutheran Crusaders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Shadow Ridge came out on top against Faith Lutheran by a score of 54-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Shadow Ridge.
Shadow Ridge found their leader in underclassman Jaslyn Jefferson, who scored 25 points. Zh'mya Martin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Faith Lutheran, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge will take on Desert Pines at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Pines' defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Shadow Ridge's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Faith Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Las Vegas comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
