Oakwood Christian fell just short of the Conquerors by a score of 69-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (58), Oakwood Christian still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Bob Jones Academy had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.9 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They blew past Westgate Christian, posting a 72-44 victory on the road. Bob Jones Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
Oakwood Christian dropped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Bob Jones Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
