The South East Jaguars will take on the South Gate Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, South East turned things around against Legacy on Thursday. They snuck past the Tigers with a 14-10 win.

Eric Wright went supernova, rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. Those 101 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 69.2 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 167.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to South East's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Jayden Garcia: he picked up a sack and made 15 total tackles.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Gate). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 56-21 victory over Huntington Park. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-13.
South East better keep an eye on Michael Gonzalez. He was instrumental in South Gate's win, throwing for 305 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 131 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Their leading receiver Nicholas Fonseca was Gonzalez's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
South Gate didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Johnny Williams and Fonseca. Fonseca's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 receiving yards. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
South Gate's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for South East, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-7.
South East was able to grind out a solid win over South Gate in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 22-10. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
