The biggest upset of the week belonged to Duarte, who took down 762nd ranked Azusa, 40-14.
Bassett was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in Montview. Earlier in the week, the Olympians triumphed over Workman 41-14.
Ryan Gomez put up the best numbers through the air as the Lobos lost to Bassett. He finished with 12 completions for 132 yards and one touchdown. Gomez's favorite target this week was Jehzeel Sabillon, who caught four passes for 82 yards.
Jamal Greenfield was the best wideout in the league this week as Hector Spathias 's team beat Workman. Greenfield racked up three receptions for 128 yards. Jose Hernandez helped Bassett's passing attack out by catching two balls for 35 yards.
Joshua De La Torre was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 184 yards as the Olympians topped Scott Morrison's team. Christopher Rios also contributed to the rushing game with 82 yards on the ground.
5-foot-9 quarterback Jose Ledesma of the Aztecs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 770. He has also thrown four touchdowns. On the ground, Sierra Vista's Lee Jones has rushed for 1146 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Greenfield. The Bassett star has 32 catches for 462 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Dons take on La Puente. As it stands, Sierra Vista is in second, while the Warriors are in third.
The Falcons moved up to 791 from 849 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Duarte climbed the ranks as a result of a 40-14 win over Azusa.
