The Hitchcock County Falcons will head out to challenge the Bertrand Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Hitchcock County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Hitchcock County duked it out with Overton last Thursday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 28-7 victory. Fans of the Falcons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
The critical scores for Hitchcock County came from Brody Hubl, Jayce Hauxwell, Adam Kisker, and Jack Baker.
Hitchcock County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 255 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 78 points the game before, Bertrand was a bit more limited in their game last Thursday. They were outmatched by Cambridge and fell 56-6. The loss was the Vikings' first of the season.
Hitchcock County will have to contain Thunder Nelson as he made an impact in Bertrand's last game. He picked up 79 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 57 yards.
Hitchcock County's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bertrand, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Hitchcock County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 374.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bertrand struggles in that department as they've been averaging 228.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Hitchcock County against Bertrand in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 38-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
