Collinsville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 52-34 win over the Windthorst Trojans on Friday. The victory (which was Collinsville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.5 points per game. As for Windthorst, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.
Collinsville will square off against Muenster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muenster knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Collinsville likes a good challenge. Windthorst does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
