The Tech Panthers lost against the Weequahic Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Tech was beaten by the Indians 71-29. Tech has not had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Weequahic found their leader in underclassman Tyhir Barlow, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Barlow is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hekeimu Williams, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tech has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Weequahic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.
Tech will head out on the road to take on the at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Bergen Charter is ranked 370th, while the Panthers are ranked 394th). As for Weequahic, they will be playing at home against the Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. University has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 529 points over their last eight games.
