Quincy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Climax-Scotts Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Quincy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
Last Friday, everything went Quincy's way against the Rangers as the Orioles made off with a 60-37 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Quincy had established a 22 point advantage.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quincy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Miner, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Miner is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Grant Carter was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Climax-Scotts came up short against the Spartans on Thursday and fell 52-40. Climax-Scotts has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The victory got Quincy back to even at 8-8. As for Climax-Scotts, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Quincy against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2016 as the team secured a 82-40 victory. With Quincy ahead 45-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.
