The Agua Fria Owls's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They strolled past Goldwater with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Agua Fria also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Agua Fria was led to victory by David Shaw and Bryan Burrows. Shaw scored 19 points along with three steals, while Burrows scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Daniels jr, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Agua Fria's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Goldwater, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Agua Fria's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Deer Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games. As for Goldwater, they will be playing at home against Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Peoria focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
