Midwest extended the longest winning streak in 6-Man South (6 Man) this week by beating Hulett, 54-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Oilers.
Midwest took down the Devils 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cam Ray threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 12 yards in the win.
Jeremy Manning was the best wideout in the league this week as HEM lost to Little Snake River. Manning racked up one reception for 53 yards. Christian Gonzales helped HEM's passing attack out by catching three balls for 23 yards.
Manuel Quinteros was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 226 yards as the Rattlers lost to the Rattlers. JP Ely also contributed to the rushing game with 40 yards on the ground.
John Fletcher made the biggest impact on defense this week as Guernsey-Sunrise defeated Farson-Eden. The 6-foot-0 senior forced one fumble, recorded one fumble and racked up two sacks.
HEM's Rylie Richardson and Manning have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 6-Man South (6 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 642 yards this season, while Manning, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has nine catches for 282 yards. The Vikings' Brady Esquibel leads the league in rushing yards with 714.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Ken Swieter's team and Guernsey-Sunrise. The Oilers comes into the matchup ranked third in the state, while Chris Link's team ranks fourth.
