New Hampton School hasn't had much luck against St. Paul recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Huskies will be playing at home against the Big Red at 4:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
New Hampton School's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Brewster Academy National as they made off with a 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.
Bodie Bartram was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because New Hampton School is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-6-1 otherwise. Bartram was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Conor Griffin and Hayden Weeks did most of the damage at the plate: Griffin went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Weeks went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three runs gave Griffin a new career-high. Tanner Keenan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
New Hampton School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are undefeated (3-0) when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Paul's). They blew past Brewster Academy National 17-6 on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Big Red, who have now won five matches in a row.
St. Paul's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for New Hampton School, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7-1.
New Hampton School might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from St. Paul's in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Huskies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
