Westtown pushed their score all the way to 69 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Friends' Central 73-69. While losing is never fun, Westtown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Friends' Central is ranked 16th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friends' Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pat Feamster, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Belcher, who scored 18 points.
Westtown has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Friends' Central, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
Westtown will be playing at home against Shipley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Friends' Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Academy of the New Church at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
